Somatic Experiencing is a science based therapeutic approach to healing trauma.

 

It is a powerful method designed to regulate a person’s nervous system so they can integrate any unprocessed experiences.

The techniques are designed to build internal safety and resiliency, so a person can experience any difficult emotions or sensations that are impacting their wellbeing. 

I use Somatic Experiencing in my coaching practice to help people move towards goals that may initially feel too big or overwhelming.

The nervous system influences all areas of our lives from career, health to our relationships. By doing this work, we can create a new trajectory for our lives.

What are the benefits of doing Somatic Experiencing?

Somatic experiencing enables us to feel bodily sensations and emotions without being overwhelmed or influenced by them. It improves overall health and wellbeing, as stress is released and brain function improves. A sense of internal resilience is built, so we are more attuned to our needs and desires. We are then able to express those needs and desires, leading to stronger boundaries, and our lives become richer and more satisfying as a result. We feel comfortable being authentic and we are empowered to speak our truth confidently.

 

Early attachment trauma and unhealthy relationship patterns can be resolved  to build healthier and more meaningful connections with the self and with others. We trust that we are okay and that we are worthy of love. We make better choices as we switch from survival mode to thriving mode.
